US AMP = fanboys

Yeah the XT series definately isnt their best line up. They definately arent the company they used to be but boy did I love that Merlin when I had it. I should never have sold that amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Sup all!

I finally got to run all the wires and mount the amp nicely.

This weekend I plan to run 3.4" bolts to the bottom of the sub box into the frame (below) and bolt it. Also will be run some "L" brackets to keep the box still but also prevent crooks trying to jack it. I'm going to make sure they'll have to jack my truck to get my system (yea I know its not much but steal but still //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ).

I am sure no one will mess w/ it around my home since its always garaged.

Well here's my ****

XT is US AMPS lowest model from what the website shows. Either way, it pushes this 12" a little to hard in bridge mode. Now does it sux a%%? I say nah, not for what I am expecting and for what I paid for it(less then $200 for all of it). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I wonder if the 1600.2 is 2ohm stable. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I do have to use the bass-boost more then what I wanted to, plus the Pioneer deck I have has the "loud" button and when I turn that on, the sub goes buck wild. A little bit too much b/c I start to hear clipping in LFE on. So I just use about half of the bass boost dial and then turn down the deck bass off and it sounds really nice. Still can feel it. I think it could push a 15" Dayton HO really nice / ported of course.

I am more into Home Theater since thats my passion/hobby for the last 10 years now. My last car audio equipment was back in 1998.- I am not a real bass head, but I do run a 15" HT sub in my dedicated HT. I do enjoy SQ over SPL, however the SPL is there if I purposely want to do that and rattle everything in my 15x15x8 room. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yea its two ohm stable. shouldnt use any bass boosts. you will get clipping with them. you should have a sub volume level on the hu and the bass-treb adjustments and the amp gain. use those but i would keep the boosts off on the hu and amp.

These are real US Amp's.....
