Well, today is the day that my subs were coming in, so obviously, I was really excited. Soon all that excitement turned into sadness.

My packages arrived in what looked like decent shape.

After taking off the tops, it's very clear one of my beauties is severely F'ed up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

This is the crate for the broken one. It looks like a pretty good crate to me, of course there was no foam or anything but they were screwed in there. Nothing on the boxes was broken on the outer shell. Needless to say I'm pretty ****ing pissed right now. The only good thing I guess is that the right one seems to be fine.

jeebus... that thing had to have been dropped pretty f'n hard to break the basket in half all around!! wtf ups?!?!

That ***** bad. Been there and done that with rigid shipping crates. With that motor, there is simply no way to mount that basket rigid like that and have them live. The bottom plate will flex too much under load and then all the weight is on the basket... which wont take that. This is why we use a crate with foam compressing the speaker...

On the brighter side of things... if you need a basket or other soft parts to get that one going, let me know and Ill gladly help the cause.

**** that sub got dropd hard ups ftl //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

I might buy some from ya depending on how things go. Thanks for the offer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I think what happened was they dropped it on the cone side from a VERY high distance and the weight of the motor broke it. Cause it forced the spokes through the surround in 5 places.

Would have been an excelent crate had the bottom of the drive been braced and foam put under it, also if they put foam between the basket and hte mouting baffleand gave it some room to cushin any blows. Obviosuly the bottom was hanging and it got dropped from a considerable distance.

Man that REALLY *****....Ive been lucky with UPS and Fedex...these horror stories make me worried //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
