UPS delivered my modded MT 18 the other day.. pix inside

$300 insurance is a joke too. Im sure it will cost alot more than that to replace it. I insured the Solo X motor I sent out for some large amt like $600 or $700 I dont remember...

Dude, I would call the seller and ***** him out. That sub was simply not packed properly.

An MT 18 needs a wood crate, that is an obvious choice. Whoever packed that thing is an idiot.

wood crate probably isnt a good idea, the wood would just go through the sub as the crate falls apart when its thrown around

From the look of the packaging...You or whoever files the claim will lose.
This is not UPS's fault unless they "repackaged" it after they destroyed the original box.

I would ask for a refund. MT 18s are heavy subs, they should be shipped with high density foam and a crate to help the box hold its shape...NOT packing peanuts.
x2. I would think that any 18" would be packaged a lot more securely than that POS package job.

the problem is obvious. There was no protection around the basket. It's aluminum, it doesn't take much to break.

you should be able to fix it like new for around $175(if you can recone yourself), contact Team PSI from here.

People need to learn you can't just pack a subwoofer in peanuts and wrap it in cardboard and expect it to get there in one piece.
Fucking retards.

nG
Indeed.... They would be better off wrapping it in plastic wrap and sending it like that... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

That Is ****ed Up! I Used To Work For Ups Back In The Day And All They Care About Is Getting The Trailer Unloaded And Loaded As Fast As Possiable. They Even Time You To See How Much Packages You Do In A Minunit! Then They Estimate It And Say, Oh You Can Load/unload X Amount Of Boxes In An Hour... They Yell At You If You To Slow. After Awhile You Say **** It And Start Tossing Shit.it's Not The Right Thing To Do But This Is What Happens In There Hub's.

In This Case, I Say Both Are At Fault The Shipper Should Have Packed It Better Than That And Ups Fully Knowing It Has Been Damaged Because It Was Ductaped So They Had To Know About It! I Would Treaten To Report Them The Bbb And Go To The Local Media So It Would Be On The Local News. They Never Like To Here That. And We All Know The Media Love To Bash. They Will Most Likley Refund You The Money.

Then Contact The Seller And ***** Him/her Out Demand A New Sub Take Pics Tell Them You Will Sue Them For The Pain And Suffering It Caused You! This Is America You Can Sue For Anything Dawg!

Now You Have A New Sub And 150% Of Your Money Back!

Just My .02

Sweet mods UPS did there for you... How does it sound?
haha

I actually lol'd

Anyways, to the OP, sorry to see that. But as its been mentioned a billion times before, you'll probably lose the claims because of the way it was packed.. Bad seller packing FTL!
