I thought it was extremely nice of UPS to, somewhere between Kentucky and Maine, destroy my MT 18 and make it completely useless... I would like to thank TheLow for at least shipping it, without him this wouldnt have been possible LOL

if UPS doesnt take it when (and THEY WILL) refund the amount it was insured for, I may just throw it in a box and destroy it totally.

Anywho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif thats my story.

The ironic thing... Im a member of The Teamsters Union, its a double kick in the groin to think I pay this extremely crappy union money to be part of it and then "they" go and wreck something I was looking forward to.

/crappy thread.

thats the original packaging.

I hope the insurance covers it, thats all I have to say.

This isnt a slam post at the person I traded with either, its a slam post to "my brothers", UPS.

screw you Teamsters

You can get away without using a wooden crate, but it's not like that. IMHO, it's the shippers fault. You cant put a 65lb. sub in a single layer cardboard box w/ some packing peanuts and expect it to arrive in 1 piece. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

Horrible view.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

my dad pays union fees of like $50 a week... yeah just saying... idk... ok bye..
I pay $38/month, but I am not a UPS employee, and it is a good thing.

I shipped a Solo X 18 out to the sender of this and I hope it got to him fine, it should have been able to withstand a drop off the conveyor.

Here is what I think happened, it was shipped without a stable bottom, thus leaving about a 6-8" wide circular surface (The magnet) to sit on, this is not sturdy nor stable, just packing peanuts around it. The thing was hit somehow and being that the base was abit small it fell off and landed on... well you know where the contact point with the ground was.

I think aside from the broken spoke and destroyed mounting ring (the only thing holding the broken piece on is the surround and glue)... it may be usable. By usable I mean destroyable.

****, I know this is UPS' fault, but if the origional packager would hae used more than a cardboard box and styrofoam peanuts, it wouldn't have happened. I'll never ship subs without a wood frame or box around it. I have seen this happen too many times. I hated it when all 4 of my XX3212's looked like this from packaging, but that was with DHL and they just left them (4 boxes) sitting on my uncovered porch while it was raining and my garage door was wide open. It pissed me off, good thing I had 1.5 times the insurance that it actually cost.

thats pathetic. UPS needs to raise their pay rates or hire more people or someshit.
Increasing the staffing number of any shift of a package handling company will only increase the chances that an ******* will handle the package and **** it up. Increasing pay won't help. Package handlers don't care what happens to a package so all the yelling managers can do won't make a difference. Firing them only makes room for another *******. The solution is to package items better, and hope that all the handlers that touch the package don't abuse it. The conveyor belt systems and way chutes are set up are probably the largest single reason things get damaged.
