this upholstery shop said they charge 175/seat for vinyl and 220/seat for cloth

Leather. Not just any crappy leather that heats up in the sun. The leather that feals like butter when you slide in to it

Cloth>Vinyl for seats. Vinyl heats up so fast and starts to crack over time...

sorry to hijack, but i was thinking of covering my box with vinyl, if it heats up like you say and cracks, would that be a bad idea? what would be some alternatives besides normal carpet??

ive done some enclosures covered in vinyl, i find that if you Armor-All the vinyl regularly it wont crack. For seats I would use good leather, or cloth, Vinyl gets to hot in the summer
