I'm not an optima battery fan. Too many people have had bad experiences for me to recommend them.

They were not meant for car audio.

I was thinking about trying the Sam's club duracells. Does anyone have experience with them though? Not all group 31's are created equal

They are east penn deka batteries. Work amazingly.

My alt is 105 I believe. Also with upgrading wire..are you referring to just battery to amp our battery to alt as well? Or anything else as well?

All of your wiring should be 0 gauge. That includes big3 and amp kit and everything you use. OFC is preferable. I think that if you got like 2 hds312s on a sq 2200, that might be really nice. Or you could not go soundqubed and go with something else like Skar VVX if you aren't wanting to run that much power. If you go above the 1500 watt spectrum, you are going to need a 2nd battery. If you go above 2k, everyone is right when you say you will probably need a HO alternator. I would think 2 hds312s and a sq 2200 would be a nice pair, if you want to keep everything the same and on sundown. Or, you could go big and buy a hdc318 and a sq 2200.

You will also need to get a box done by someone with a lot of experience. Can't forget that - that'll be anywhere from 200 to 350 dollars depending on your area.

If I got a hdc15 and say a hifonics 1700 amp and ran at 1 ohm would it be enOugh for that sub. I dont want to buy a sub and not be able to fully utilize it but I want the most bang possible. Or should I just go 2 hds on a 1200 OR 1500?

I just feel that hdc would be better built? Or is that a false assumption?
