upgrading stock speakers

ok so it would deffenetly be quite a differance compared to stock if i ran them off of a new head unit? like how much of their total potential would be used running them off of a new cd player? and when do i have to worry about blowing them... not enough power or too much power to them from the cd/amp?

a new cd won't put out alot of power, but it'll be more than the stock unit. it's more of the sampling options and eq's that come with aftermarket decks. you will have much more control over the sound of your music than with the stock unit.

ok thank you for all your help... i fell like i have a little better grasp on how this stuff works... and one more question i hear about lots of people having problems with blowing speakers.. its jsut cus they mess with the settings and screw stuff up?
