Upgrading sound system... need advice

i'd say if its a temporary system, you can just get the hds300 12" or 15" bundle and put out a little extra for a custom ported box. You'll be fine. Measure the L X W x H and see whats the biggest sub you can fit. Cannot cheap out on the box, if you do, there's basically 0 lows. Its also not a good idea to cram big subs into small spaces either. Space makes bass. If you have some basic woodworking skills or know a friend or relative that does, you can save a lot on the enclosure.

here's some free designs. you'd want 2.0-2.5 cubic feet for a 12 and 4-6 cubic feet for a 15
