Upgrading sound system... need advice

I have a TC2 so the car is pretty small. The default sound system is actually pretty decent but I want more umph haha.

I'm quite clueless so that's why I'm here. I'm looking for something that will emit clear sound/lyrics but will hit he lows pretty hard. I just want high quality sound overall that makes it seem like I'm in Imax movie theatre lmfao. Just not as expensive... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Anyways... could someone suggest what to do because I have no idea what to buy.

I LOVE the vibration but i DONT want my trunk rattling. Actually it might not even rattle it since my trunk is different than other cars. If you know what i mean... It's one of those.... whole big windshield trunks.

Sorry for big image

Also... I listen to mostly EDM/Hip Hop/Dubstep/Chillstep/Techno

thats not a very high budget, You'll have to choose between doing your mids and highs or doing your substage first.
That's fine. I was not really trying to do everything all at once. What do you recommend I upgrade first? And what brands should i take a look at?

That's your preference. Would you like some bass first, or would you rather start with your mids and highs? If you're okay with the way those sound currently, may as well start off with a substage to get some bumpin' started in your car.

Most people start with substage because thats what a car is always missing a subwoofer and if you like dubstep and rap a sub is def what your missing. If you want to save money keep it around 1000 rms because after that electrical upgrades begin to come into the picture. Get a 1/0 amp kit and big 3 kit mylows10 sells them on here and for budget friendly reliable stuff soundqubed is one of the top options the q-1200 is $269 and a hds300 is between $150-$170 depending size. Hit up boomsday on here for a custom ported box built and shipped to ypu for pretty cheap. All this will prob run you $800 brand new. You can always go used though and save some cash

To address your concern about rattling. Hatch backs rattle just like normal trunks. Maybe not as much in certain situations, but trust me if you are going to be running any "recommended" setups on the site your car is going to rattle lol. Unless you get sound deadener which is out the *** expensive for the good stuff.

Well like said. If your planning on doing the whole system start with the deck and front stage You could start with the sub stage of you like. But you'll be buying install stuff that you'll toss later also like sake said 1000-1200 rms is gonna be best. Unless you wanna have extra batts and or a ho alt

Thanks a lot guys for the info. The default sound system in the TC2 is actually pretty decent. Many people were surprised and thought I had some sort of setup whenever someone rides with me.. but i don't. So... I think I'll go with a sub setup first. I'm perfectly fine with tossing things away later on. Honestly that will be quite a while away and I'm sure I'll save up enough money to get a better system. Probably will have a new car either way. So... should i go with the HDS300 Bundle then? Or...what. Also I don't know what rms means haha. All i want from the subwoofer is to hit the lows really hard. That's basically it. My car hits everything else pretty good.

And.. i don't really wanna buy a new battery. I mean... if i really have to for what you guys recommend then fine but... don't want to spend more money than I have to if you know what i mean.

A pair of 10s is about the most you are going to fit. I had to take out my back seat to get 2 12s to fit right. You have less space in the 2 than I had.

A Audiocontrol LC2i tapped into the sub, unhook the factory sub
