hmm ok well im pretty sure i wont b doing mid 130s any more when i do turn bass boost down but im sur ehte ported would help sooo much haha unless somehow i completely botched my system set up which i dont think i did....

thx for the advice tho....

problem is moneys sort of tight right now how much u think itd cost to make or get usm 1 to make a ported box for 1 12?

if done correctly, you will be, by far, louder in a ported box

yeah i understand that but what should i be doing with everything set up right with the 1 12 in a sealed box 1.25 cubes?

just so i can figure until i get the ported box atleast?

yeah, i have mine tuned to 35hz. i got 2 in a 4 cube box

that'll work, but that's a low tuning. 35Hz is the standard, under is strictly for the lows

how do you know the sealed box is doing mid 30's?

id just make a new box for the r, around 2.5 cubes at 34hz

just buy another one if you got the space. bxi1606d + 2 type r in ported = a lot louder than what you got. You'll be doing over 140db if well done

I did a R in 2.5 cubes @ 32 hertz and it sounded good across most frequencies... better response curve IMO....

I had one in a 1.5 cubes tuned to w/e alpine recommends and it sucked

i knwo the sealed box is doing mid 130s because i got it tested on a TL at a comp last month

im going to another one today too.... i borrowed a mtx thunder ported box andput my type r in it ... well c how it does numbers wise it is defiantely alot louder and clearer tho
