i knwo the sealed box is doing mid 130s because i got it tested on a TL at a comp last month im going to another one today too.... i borrowed a mtx thunder ported box andput my type r in it ... well c how it does numbers wise it is defiantely alot louder and clearer tho

it was a good idea using my mtx thunder box, but in a custom box tuned differently (or inter-changeable ports for daily and comps) that 1 type r could probably break 140db in your car.

The flea market man just make sure u r getting an actual real one & not a b-stock. The derka's will hook it up man. I know I can get them for $105 a 12 brand new.

i know ikesound has them for $125 shipped. another place on ebay has two 12's for 235 shipped. all brand new. alittle more expensive than $105 but still a great deal.

For some reason I can't find a good deal for one just one on ebay. I keep finding them in pairs.

i did 136dbs with my 1 12 in a mtx thunder ported box.... my volume was at only 33 of 50....

my the gain is set so my type r doesnt peak untill 45 of 50 volume....

this was on the TL too
