Upgrading From Stock

Sup everyone I just joined and I'm in need of your advice on upgrading my sound system. My stock speakers just went out so it's time for an upgrade! I already have a Pioneer FH-X700BT headunit that's still working just fine. My budget is between $800-$1000 including installation and sub box/wires. I listen to mostly rap and my car is a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon. Ive been told to only use comps up front with no 6x9s in the back with a single 15" sub or 2 12" subs. Im wanting a good sounding system that can get pretty loud but sound good without distortion. Thanks for your time and help I appreciate it!

Since you're paying for installation I recommend you check local shops. It's common to charge more for labor if the shop is installing equipment purchased elsewhere, plus they can't warranty product they don't sell.

I am kind of in the same boat as you except I just my new system running! If you have some knowledge on how to install your own system correctly I would recommend you do that! Its so much fun, you can learn a lot and you can save money! but if you don't have the knowledge obliviously take it in;)

The only experience I have with car audio installation is installing the front speakers and 6x9s. Anybody know the quality of JM Kustumz in Garland? It's the closest car audio shop to my house.

hooking up a sub and amp is just as easy... learn how to do it yourself and get much better quality equipment. Its not like its rocket science, just gotta be brave and actually start tinkering with your car. Plenty of tutorials floating around and if you need further help just ask on the forum.
