Upgrading from 9874 to 9886

Hey everybody. Just a quick question. I'm planning on upgrading my cde-9874 to a cda-9886. Do I need to buy new wires and a new mounting kit? Or will the 9886 fit in the same spot?

As far as mounting sleeves, I'm not 100% sure. I'd think they're the same. The wiring harness is the same if the 9874 hooks up to the dimmer lead of the car.

Well I looked it up and they re pretty much the same size, So I'm guessing it would fit. My only question is the wiring harness? Is it okay to use the same one as I am for the 9874?

Probably the same...check Crutchfield as they offer the actual manuals for the models on-line so you can compare...or just call them or Alpine...they are quite helpful.
