Upgrade time.

I am now getting a 250a alternator and am thinking of upgrading everything, mostly amp and sub. I have now a 5.5net cubic feet box tuned to 32hz for an 18 now and would like to try and use it again. I am thinking of getting a SQ3500 if I can find one cheap enough but am open to suggestions. Maybe a taramps 5k or 4k or around that. The max dimensions for a box are 38w, 16 high, and 24 deep. Would like to keep it around 22 deep but I can manage. I would like to use the same box just for money reasons if I could.

TLDR - need new sub and amp suggestions.

Keep the sub and get a Taramps 8k

You won't need the alternator. Just 3 batteries.

You sure the sub can take all that power? If you're trying to slap all that power on something, I imagine you'll need a sub that can handle that.

I am getting a new sub and new amp. So. Sub first and then amp.

I mean, it really depends on the quality. I want to stay around 350 used for my subs MAYBE 400 and about 450 or 500 for the amp. Prefer used for everything.

Maybe something like the Mayhem? Maybe the sundown yardsale that everyone likes. You probably already know what's reputable, so anything along those lines that can handle the power you want at the price you want. Not sure if there's a market for used crossfires, but if you find it, crossfire XS-V2.

Well, I just ordered my alternator and that should be in in about 2 weeks and then I have to wait for the guy to install it since he will be out of town for another week after it comes in. So I was thinking 2 12s now. Because I have the space for it and I don't think I have enough space properly for an 18 so.

I thought my alt would be two weeks. Took several months to get the right one, unfortunately.

I hope so. Atleast I got another toy to play with coming in Thursday, not car audio related but it's still a toy.
