Ok for the longest while I have been using 2 Adire Tempest 15" subs in a custom ported 8.0CU box (I think tuned to 32Hz)
The subwoofers are 8 ohm Dual Voice Coils
Anyways I have had the subs connected to a Boss 3000D sub with the following specs:
Max power, 2 ohm - 2200w x 1
Max power, 1 ohm - 3000w x 1
RMS power, 4 ohm - 1200w x 1
RMS power, 2 ohm - 1700w x 1
and right now I have it on a Lightning Audio Strike S4.600 (rockford fosgate parts) with the specs:
450x1@4 ohm bridged -
I have the subs wired together so that the total impedence is 2 ohm.
What I want is more bass, for some reason this setup isnt putting out as much as other people with just 1 12" sub and amp in a smaller box.
I don't know what the problem is. Would a bigger/better amp make this any louder; what would be a good amp for this setup? or is using these 8ohm DVC subs outdated? should I go with 2x 12" 4ohm DVC subs instead?
Thanks
