yea, most likely the MD.2D, just depends if i can find one at a good price when i'm ready to buy...
...so with either one, a new alt. is gunna be necessary?

Most HO alternators are custom built and will cost you $400-$600 depending on amps and type of car. If you're serious about getting a HO alternator, then I would suggest you check out iraggi alternators, Excessive Amperage, Ohio Generators & High Amp Alternators, or Nations Starters and Alternators.

I also agree that between US Ams and Hifonics, US Amps is the better pick. You might want to try just the Big 3 and the batter upgrade first.

yea, well i'll need both...

the md2d puts out 1500-1800 at one, so i was kinda set on that, but i'm open to ideas

If I were you I would check out the Fi.Q with a kicker 1000.1 amp
