capacitor installation

I have a 950w @ 1ohm planet audio hooked up to two kicker 10"cvrs. I am installing a 1.5 farad capacitor and my question was whether or not I need to put a distribution block to break of the power from the battery into two connections to the amp and cap? Manual said it was recommended but not sure if i need to bother with this.

take the + wire from the battery thats going to the amp, and put that one on the capacitor, then you take a + wire from the capacitor to the amp. ground your capacitor, and ground your amp

if you HAVE to keep it, you are basically using the cap as a distro block... no need for an ACTUAL distro block.

but yeah, dont use a cap, return it and atleast get an everstart max from walmart or something.
