Upfiring box in reg cab truck

I am planning out my next set-up which will be an IDQ 10". Whats would be the difference in spl and sq between a forward firing and upfiring box in a reg. cab truck.

i went from a face firing box to an upward firing box recently in my single cab and didnt find a difference in sq. still sounded great

for me facing up made much louder....and no difference in sq

Now that is very interesting. I had never thought of facing subs to the rear deck....hmm may have to try that with the new rainbows I'm upgrading to. Any pics of that rear fire box?

I've tried foward, upward, back...and the port on the bottom firing towards the firewall. Firing towards the firewall was crazyyyyyyyyyy loud. Firing towards the back was 2nd....

Either back of the cab (long as you handle vib's etc) or firing downward for SQ.

Wow, this thread just answered a ton of questions I've been meaning to ask. Thanks guys! I'm planning on facing the sub to the back wall in my std cab Nissan.

What do you mean by firewall? The floor?

yeah....the port is on the floor aiming towards your feet kind of...but where mine sits it's kind of higher then just the floor so I just said firewall. lol
