Update about stolen gear

Well after a year and a half or so of my buddies sub stage (built by me) being stolen from his 01 cherokee, they are back in our hands. The cops were pretty helpful and did an undercover investigation/sting operation that lead to the confiscation of the equipment. my buddy then went to court where the other guy didn't show up and the detective showed all of the evidence and material that I had provided to the judge to get the stuff back. Since last year, he bought an 06 cherokee so last night, we pulled the head unit and wiring out of the 01 and installed everything into the 06. He still didn't have an amp though so I'm letting him borrow my ED Nine.1 for the time being.

It is 2 12 type Rs in about 5 cubes tuned to 31. It slams crazy hard and the nine.1 is doing some solid work back there. He works til 11 but I will get a vid tonight or tomorrow of the setup for you guys to see.

If I only had a pair of type R's I woulnd't even lock my doors.....cheaper to replace the subs than the broken window or dent-pulled lock if some arsehole really decided he needed them.

Cops in Nashville wouldn't even stop by when my wife's car got stolen. Good thing Dickson County Police cared enough to call us when they found the guy driving the car.

Yeah Lubbock's stolen property unit doesn't get much action because most "victims" dont really do anything. I found the subs and box on craigslist one day and they were obviously mine (I designed and built the box which was sort of oddly shaped) so me and my buddy called the police and they let us talk to a detective that set everything up. They slimjim'd the old jeep to steal the equipment so there was nothing broken, only stolen. It isn't like the whole PD and SWAT team took this on. It was only a detective and 2 patrolmen in a squad car hiding when they did the sting. I gave the detective pictures of the equipment in my room when i built it all and everything she would need to identify it. The detective borrowed my phone and acted like me to set up a meet with the guy since I had initially texted him to see where he had gotten the equipment. When they got there and identified the equipment, they told him what the deal was and he cooperated and provided a pawn shop receipt so they did not arrest him. The seller didn't show up in court so we got everything back within minutes of the court session starting. It took a few months to get everything set up since the day I found them on craigs but it all worked out well.
