Unsure of recone or not?

I've got an Re SE10 D4 that needs a recone.... now it'll either be 112 for stock recone or 140 to have the XXX parts instead

i am completely happy with the se10 the way it was... it was in my 2000 dodge dakota regular cab with a 1.0cu box tuned to 33hz... i liked how low and loud it got with rap but seemed to keep up well with rock songs... it'll be transfered into my 2006 F350 Crew cab with a 1.25 ported box tuned to 32hz should i upgrade it to the se xxx? and i can make the box bigger for the se xxx if needed....

it'll be powered by what it had before a hifonics brutus 1000w d class amp

unsure what direction i should go.... would the SEXXX make a huge difference? i wouldnt mind it getting louder but i dont want to lose the sq either

on ebay i can get a new se10d2 for 140 which my current is a d4 so i'd be able to wire it down to 1 ohm for more output

sorry if i seem noobish.... i've been out of the car audio scene since i installed the sub which was about 3 years ago

get the brand new one...sell your old one to someone that does their own recones....that will be your cheapest route

for what reasons?

price really doesnt bother me that much... i was just wondering if upgrading it would be worth while? if it's not then yes i'll probably sell the sub and buy a newer se10d2

or would it be a better bet to go with a se12d2?

SeXXX is pretty neat little driver, I think you could find parts cheaper tho, pm TeamPSI

They stopped making the SeXXX due to the SX being an all around better driver for the intended application. So maybe you should just consider an SX instead.

well i had e-mailed re and i asked if somehow i could upgrade and in return fix my issue and greg offered to recone it with xxx parts to make it a seXXX
