Unloading question

Built a vented box for 2 10s. Single chamber, never heard of unloading until after I built it. Is this unloading? The sub sitting over the port wall moves first and the one that's closer to the opening of the port moved slightly after. They aren't out of phase I know this for a fact

Unloading is when the subwoofers are playing under tuning frequency, there isn't enough backpressure in the box to control the cone. They situation you describe is probably just a vivual trick. They are moving the exact same but your trying to focus on two different moving parts and your brain has to look at them one at a time. The box most likely isnt unloading yet

I understand that concept but i am pretty certain that they're moving differently. Is there any other reason that may happen?

No there are no reasons that they should move different if its on a monoblock. If its on a 4 channel amp then they can move different. So if its a monoblock amp, then no. If its a 4 channel then it's possible

They're wired series onto a monoblock. Could it be mechanical problem? They've had little play time

Might be the two woofers have some variance, or more likely it's just your box design that puts more pressure behind one than the other. Swap the subs the other way around (each in the other's hole) and see. If the same one seems to move more it's the box, otherwise it's the subs.

I was positive I didn't miss anything but it seems that one of the wires fell out .... Fckin direct connects lol I have no idea how to connect them other than with tape

Damn. I ran a SAZ1500 and an Z15 in mine for awhile.
I didn't even upgrade my wiring, so I don't know what I expected lol. Drove around after 30 seconds my alternator gave. It was a 91 with original alt though so I couldn't have expected much better.

1987 with original alt. I did have a yellow top and 0 guage tho. Still have the car.

Props to you man. Should've kept mine, but I was 17 and couldn't afford to fix it with a going ****** and the electrical system going so I sold it to some collector who bought it for over $1000 it's value lol

I wanted to get rid of it because of my lack of ability to work with it for heavy bass. I didn't have the means of making a proper enclosure either I was stuck using cheap subs and prefab enclosures which kept both of my seats all the way pushed up
