Unhooking my Amp

I had a sub and amp installed in my 03 V6 Accord. Anyways, I had to sell the sub and I am not going to put another one in for a while. I want to unhook my amp without having to pay someone to do it. The problem is I don't really have any clue about doing it. Should I just unhook it from the battery and the amp and leave the wiring, or take the whole thing out. If the wiring could be left in without any risk of being a problem, I would just leave it in. I just want to make sure I don't short my system out or anything. Thanks in advance.

You can leave the wiring in aslong as NO bare wire is exposed at the ends... you can simply tape the ends up well and you shouldnt have a problem. As for disconnecting your amp to begin with, unhook the ground wire on your battery before doing anything. After that is unhooked, have at it, you are at no risk to be shocked or mess anything up.

now is this for leaving it connected to the battery? cause i was planning on just unhooking both ends and leaving it if i wanted to use it again, or is that not possible? i am definetly not a skilled electrician haha

just make shure to unhook the ground (usually marked with a - ) from your amp then unhook the amp from the + terminal of the battery (dont just unhook it at the amp, unhook it at the battery too) and tape up the wires it is really easy
