lexan just arrived........ and i think i'll try to get some work done towmarrow

going to go cut lexan to size shortly...... and ive decided instead of etching the lexan, i will put a frosted vinyl sticker on the back of it. it will appear etched, and if i ever want to change the design or take it off i can : )

updated sketch up or layout of the spider web....... lexan cut to size and am getting frosted vinyl stickers tomorrow ; ).

i will also cut the hole for the .25 lexan (spider web) in the false floor and flush mount it .

id love to get some input............. anybody think that the raised logo of the spider web being extended is to much? kind of crowding it or anything like that.....

plexiglass now has designs on it ......... next step is making frame for skulls and or raised logo (spiderweb)

i dont understand something. maybe you can help me out. nice job on the build by the way. lol okay my setups is 1 15" btl with gp3000d pro. i have a 5.0 cubed box tuned at 35hz and it doesnt move my car like yours does. is it because my box is to big or do i need sound deadener cause i have none.does it make that much of a difference. and does facing the subs to the rear allow more flex of the car just wondering let me know i have a video on you tube here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU3nZ-l4vxg

Flexing your car is very car dependent. Some cars will naturally flex much more than others, and the frequencies that they flex (resonate) the most at varies widely as well.

Think of the output being like horsepower/torque on a car, doesn't mean you'll necessarily go fast...a motorcycle or a small 2 seater with 100hp will be much quicker than a big truck with 100hp

Not to mention...realistically you're better off with less flex, everything that moves is absorbing sound energy, which means you're hearing less of it.

okay understand now. but just how much does sound deadener help cause i can actually feel alot of air leeking out my doorsim not sure if its a good thing

sound deadener wont help flexing very much........... only bracing will. about your doors i would put some weather stripping around them ( buy at home depot) it should make a tighter seal, and help with some rattles. you might have to slam the doors......... but it will help alot. i did it on my trunk.........

sorry to post on your build but does anyone have any experience with rd audio alpha v2's a kid wants to trade two 12's for my one 15" btl. not sure if its a good deal do they handle alot of power and would it get loud

didnt get to much work done today, except putting some led's in my cup holders (blue).......... my build will be pretty slow this week. I got alot of work /money to make so this build will most likely be put on hold till next weekend or so........

any suggestions on the tweeter placement......... someone said it was a retarded but never gave me any examples of where the tweeter should be placed.........

started covering the box today........

i decided to cover the back part of the box white for that kind of "custom look" haha even though no one will be able to see it. i hope to finish covering the box tomorrow :

i havnt finished covering the box yet.......... the back of it is covered.

but while my box was out i snapped a couple pics of the spare tire wheel well:

and ive been experimenting with raised logo's to get it looking perfect:

Logo design i made ( its going to be a plexi insert that sits on the right top of the box) similar to what fisher customs does with there logo on some boxes ( J) for johannes - my name, (T) for todd -friend helping me, (J) jason- woodworking friend helping :

i decided to cut a new floor ( my old one was kind of half ***) on this one i made it flush all the way around and made a "handle" kind of thing :

laying out were the spider web will be and the angle of the skull panels will sit at :
