2 MJ-18's, 9 cubes net in trunk build

9 cubes net, haven't decided tuning but will be between 28-34, ports will be through the rear deck with a custom rear deck covering to mount them.

Here's my progress so far, I'll have lots of bracing, I'm thinking mostly threaded rods, should I be ok with that? That's 1/2in MDF btw, doubled baffled, single everywhere else.

if your going to stick with the 1/2" get some big *** washers to run on the threaded rod on both the inside and outside. Not sure how easy 1/2" mdf would be to tear/split around where the rod goes through under pressure from those 18's :/

edit...and the port through the pkg tray is cool. Did a bandpass once in the trunk of my lumina and ported it through the pkg tray. Worked out extremely well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I used 1/2 because I already had a bunch (easily 3/4 of what I need for the whole build) layin around, and its easier to calculate shit, easier to work with in general, plus I have more size restraints than you could imagine, and I'm not talking about the obvious ones...yes it will be braced like a mofo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif should 2-3 threaded rods going each way be enough? What size should I use? I'll consider glassing, but I wont be able to get into the box once all the sides are on (cant even take the subs out as they are mounted on the inside), so idk, at least one side wouldn't be glassed, and it'll really be a pain anyway

How about if I reinforce the spots where I'm putting the rod through with a double layer of 1/2, so like a 5x5 inch cut of 1/2" mdf over the spot, and then threaded rod through the middle of that+the outside wall
