Underground Hip Pop

if he sold 200,000 records, hes NOT making 2 million. when you look at the money he puts in to SELLING those 200,000, studio time, gas money, MATERIALS TO PACKAGE THJE CD's, hes NOT making anywhere NEAR 2 million. id go to say nowhere NEAR 1 million.
I would say he makes 2 million. He sells his cd's for $13. 200,000x13 = 2.6 million.

you know nothing about the music industry. that statement proves it.
Dude, what is with you? Do you get off on bashing? No, I'm not in the music industry but something tells me that an owner of a company would know his own financials. It was a guess and I could be way off but it seems reasonable to think that an independent artist, depending on alot of factors, would be able to sell 200,000 cds and have his expenses around $600,000.

Oh and I made a mistake, he sells his cd's for $13.99. So Gross would be $2,798,000. It's not possible to have your expenses right aroung $800k ??

Take this for example

I built my own house, a very good house. I consider that to be success at and that I mastered it. Now, I'm not on the level as some builders/devolopers like Trump etc etc but I still mastered it. I still made it from scratch and all the components of it works together. Some people may not like the style of it but there is no doubt that I have a talant. I think you get my point.

I dont find that building your own house gives you a talent. You building a house next to a professional realtor building the same house, his will be superior. Put yours through a hurricane, and put his through the same exact situation. I would put my lifes savings on his withstanding the hurricane better. Why? Because he has a business to run, he has done hundreds of times over. He didn't flaw the little mistakes, he got every last detail, or he wouldn't be building too many houses. You on the other hand, you built a house. From the outside it may look identical, but how is that foundation done? Will it withold forces brought upon it. I bet a code enforcer could find flaws throughout your house that wouldn't be found in the contractors. You don't master ANYTHING the first time out. You only built one house.

When Papoose was underground he was insanity with lyricism but his voice and flow were kind of blah. Royce Da 5'9'' is sort of an oxymoron when it comes to underground because he is the most "well known underground artist". Dude is awesome. As far as "real" underground goes I like Pack FM...and I am suprised nobody mentioned him before I did. Binary Star is decent, Immortal Technique is dope as well. Rass Kass is somewhat underground in my opinion and he is extremely dope. Pack FM is probably my favorite underground artist all together though. I like the Chicago underground scene With J.U.I.C.E and back before Rhymefest and Lupe Fiasco were still underground
