So I went out golfing yesterday and today.
Shot of the day yesterday: I hit a pretty crappy drive ~200 yds, and I had another 215 to the hole. So I figure I'll just try to get close enough so that I'll have around 50 yards left. So I pull out the 6-iron and rip the ball, it rolls to within 10 ft. of the cup. ( I went on to the next 2 holes and hit nice approach shots....one was a par 3- 157 yds, and the other was a par 5, and I was around 175 yds....both shots were around 10 ft from the cup.)
Shot of the day today: I hit a decent drive with the 5-wood around 225 yds, and I have 205 yds to the pin. I pull out the 7-iron just trying to get close enough where I can pitch onto the green. Again, I rip the ball, rolls to within 15 ft of the cup.
The shot yesterday with the 6-iron is probably the 2nd best shot I've ever had considering the distance. Closest I've ever come was when I eagled this one hole after ripping a drive around 300 yds, then hitting a 3-iron 230 yds to within 8-10 ft of the pin.
