So i jsut received the underglow kit for my girlfriends cobalt ss... The underglow that i have installed in the past just had a box you mount in the hood somewhere and just wire them all to a switch that you place in the dash. This one has special plug ins on each LED tube tha have to be plugged into a control module somewhere inside your car i believe( it has different mode settings and on and off) Anyways, im trying to figure out the best way to wire this thing and where to place the moduile. I was thinking about installing the module in the hood anyways and just connecting a switch the power source on the module itself. Of course, this way i wouldnt have any control over the modes unlesss i popped the hood(i think the modes would sorta be cheesy anyway. Anyone have any ideas on how to install? And second, it says you msut wire to your 12v ignition and ground to alarm...(where is the 12v ignition wire and wire to the cobalts stock alarm?) Anyone have some input as im sorta confusd on most of it.

I have teh same 1 for my car.

I mounted that bish on teh top part of my glove comparments, so it slides out when the compartemnet is open.

Mine has 19 different modes of seoncoring, including a bass sencor.

Which is a POS imo, becuase anything over an 8" subwoofer, the lights don't respond well too and just stay lit continuosuly.

not meant for anything over 108 dB

Why are most people so quickly to tell the mods to ban on this forum? its rediculous... Anyways, where did you wire your igniton wire? Is it under the steering wheel or what? or can i jsut wire to the battery?

It might be a good idea to mount it under the hood, I know around here its illegal to drive with underglow on (it might be in oregon too?) anyways if the switch is under the hood and a cop says you have it on just be like well unless i popped my hood thats not possible. As for the stock alarm I have no idea, in regards to your power wire is the 12v ignition wire going to the kit seperate from your 12v power source, if not then the kit is just looking for a power source that is on with the car and off when the car is off, so run something from your fuse box under you dash.

any wire basically then for the ignition? and also if i have a switch wired inside the car when i flip it on wont i have to turn on the module under the hood anyway?

So i installed it all succesfully and when i shut the doors all the lights flash twice.... Its kinda tight actually but i think it might be a loose connection or somethin to do with the door lights... since i have it wired to the fusebox. anyone?
