ok i have a orion p12d4 (dual 4ohms) i just purchased this sub. It's ported box is a rec. 2.0 cu.ft box.

BUT there is the orion p12d2 (dual 2 ohms) this box recomendation, for a ported box is 1.3 cu. ft.

y would they rec. differ sizes if there the same sub just differ ohms????????????????????

if i have the p12d4 and put it in the p12d2 box size (1.3 cu.ft instead of 2.0 cu.ft., DONT WANT TO TAKE UP MY WHOLE TRUNK). will it sound good or will it sound like shit. (I have the specs on the boxes to its just im lazy lol.

The electrical properties are different, thus the Qts would be different which happens to have a major impact on the recommended enclosure type.

yes but would it still sound better (even if its not rec. box) say i used a ported box 1.3 cu. ft and set this box at 30 to 35 hz would it be louder than a sealed box????????????and would this box have any sq as apposed to a sealed box???????
