really doesn't matter too much on the screws since they technically only hold the pieces together for the glue to dry. i see a lot of people mount their subs wrong. seems to be the style these days

but yeah the screws or the way the subs are placed in doesnt really matter. Thats a huge port! and a big box looks like it wangs

they were there to keep the wood together while the glue dries up..... wasn't really gonna space out the screws
