I'm a bit of a pack rat...so my wife says, anyways...I had a hobart handler 125 welder quite a few years ago that needed something replaced on the "motherboard" and it was going to cost about half the price of the welder when I bought brand new. Sooo, being the pack rat I am...I took anything out of it that could be useful in the future. One of those things that I salvaged is this fan pictured here. I would like to put this fan in a rectangular hole that is located in the rear dash leading to my trunk. If u notice it has two white and two black wires. I've spliced both white wires together and both black together, then I used a spare car battery and put the white wires on the positive and the black on the negative and got nothing outta the fan so I reversed it and still nothing. Then I tried putting a on/off switch to it with one white(+) and both black(-) to the battery and the other white to the fused switch and still got nothing. Then without switch...I put both white wires to + on the battery and one black wire to - on the battery and with the other black wire I touched the + on the battery and it sparked a little but the fan moved and every time I sparked it the fan would move. The faster I sparked it the faster the fan would move. Now I'm sure that it is obvious that I am no electrician by any means so for those of you that maybe an electrician...how do I hook this fan up in my car? A diagram would be Great! Thank you for info
