Two subs same box, different than you think.. look

So the idea. I listen to country/rock a good majority of the time. So for that I would use the Cvr 10 on the front of the box. With the alpine m350. Which isn't very high powered but sounds good. But then when i want to bump/show off i have the CVX with the 1000 watt rms hifoncs on the back side of the box. Running them in two seperate chambers. The CVR being sealed and then the CVX being ported. I know I could get a different sub to fit both of my needs, hwoever I just figured this could be kinda cool/different.

I would use a dist block to seperate the power. Use y splitters on the rcas. And I would run two different remote wires. Both having toggle switches for on and off.

What do you guys think?

Also not going into the grand prix but the GMC Jimmy.

Is this just a bad idea? Would the preasure from one sub affect the other when its not on? I'm not opposed to putting the sub on top and then port on the back or reconfiguring the whole thing. But is the idea itself decent? Or am is it a case of looking cool on paper and then not performing in the real world?

you know.......no matter how many people say this is stupid i have always wanted to do this........but with a strong sq sub like idq and a strong spl sub like a dd or l7. I just dont have the room for the boxes. But Im talking about 2 separate enclosures

WHY?

Seriously though, it's stupid to only use one sub at a time while the other goes to waste.

Get a subwoofer/install that will satisfy your needs. More than likely you can find something to exceed what you want.

Or spend all the cash on one woofer that is SQL like W7, IDmax ect and build one propper enclosure an power it well.

Seems like a lot of waste of amp sub space when all you want is a SQ sub that can get real loud.

Just my 2 cents if your set on it it will work for what you plan, just I think you could do better.

Just get one big, good-sounding moofer and call it a day. thats why i'm running 2 15's sealed right now... they get loud when I turn em up, sound great when I turn em down. If I feel like hgood SQ, I turn the sub to -3 to -5. If I want to bump, I put it at 0 - 3. It's a win-win.

well if i had my way i would just get one idmax. however I'm 18 and on a budget. I already have the cvr, alpine, and hifonics amp. And I work at circuit city in their car audio bay and have an accomidation on a kicker stuff. so that's why I would be going with that. Just figured it would be a different thing, or sorta like a hey look what i can do since i guess my age group is into that sorta thing

Lol, which CC do you work at in cbus?

I say just scrap the cvr. That's what bass level is for. If your listening to country or rock turn the bass down some. Get two cvx 15's and call it a day. Let me know when you want to build a box and I'll help.
