two kicker s12l7's or one jl 12w7?

i had a chance to get two jl 12w6v2's, but slept to long on it so i am s**t out of luck,so i want your opinion what would be the better setup? two kicker s12l7's or one jl audio 12w7? also, out of the jl 1000/1 or the kicker 1200.1 which would be the better amp to go with? are the l7's durable? can they take a beating? how would you rate the 12w7? this will be going in the trunk of a 1972 caprice.

id go with 2 l7's. donno bout durability. but the w7 is an amazing driver but id much ratehr have to l7's. all i gotta say is port the l7's u got the room.

L7s can take a beating. Last I checked you had a large trunk which means you could give the L7s the large box they require!

go for the l7s.

ported or sealed? which gives sq and which gives spl?

^^If your talking about the subs, the W7 gives more SQ, while the L7 is less SQ oriented. If your talking about the box, sealed is more SQ and ported is more SPL. If your lookin for SPL, you would have to go with the L7's ported, just because of the sheer advantage in cone area. The L7 is a good woofer.

the L7's get really loud but aren't even close to the w7's SQ. so its up to you, you go with the w7 and you'll lose SPL but gain alot of sound quality.

well, what size of box would these both be in first off? also, are leaning more towards SPL or overall LOUDNESS??? If so, then I would say go with the L7's. Definitely make sure it's in at least 6 cu ft and ported as well! JL is a nice amp as well as the Kicker. Does the JL have a SSF? I know the Kicker does.
