two big amps for two L7 kicker 2ohm subs

i am going to get 2 2500.1 viper audio amps to hook up with them 2 15" L7's

Don't do that. Aren't those vipers only stable to 2 ohms? If so you will have to wire each at 4 ohms. Kind of a waste of power if u ask me... I say u get either 2 ~1000-1500w@1 ohm amps or one Orion2500D or one Kicker KX2500.1

why is that when the speakers are 2ohm and i am getting 2 amps one to go to each sub and both the amps are stable at 2 ohm and so arnt the subs? why dont i just wire it up to a 2ohm load? why a 4ohm?

so can someone tell me what i have to do now i am all confused. b/c i thought that i had to get an amp that would go into 2 ohms so that i wouldnt have to drop the load of it now he is saying that i have to wire it to 4 ohm for some reason. can anyone tell me what i should do now that i am confused as hell??

dual 2 ohm means you can have a 1ohm or 4 ohm load PER sub. you cannot have a 2 ohm load per sub. so, if im not mistakn, the orion and kicker amps above will not work, because they are only 1 ohm stable (i think, dont quote me on this). if thats the case, then you'd have to wire the subs to the amp at a 2 ohm load which would be a waste of power.

Therefore,

get an old school orion HCCA thats 1/2ohm stable.

yes, if you are only getting 1 amp (highly suggest not getting 2), you will need an amp that puts out the desired power @ 1/2ohm OR 2ohm. orion HCCA's are 1/2 ohm stable and you can snatch them up pretty cheap too. they are rock solid underated amps, ask any1. if you find an amp that puts out your desired power @ 2 ohms, then it might be a better idea, but chances are, it will be much more expensive
