Two AQ SD2.512s vs One HD312

lol. got me thinkin too. at first i thought i was decided on two sd2.5s, but **** now i want to sell my sd2.5/x600.1/box and get a hd3 to save me a little trunk space. not looking to upgrade any further after this, and i like the idea of having only one sub.

then i gotta worry about amp though. i'd probably skip on the x1200.1 since i hear they can handle 15000+wrms. any reccomendations for that? money IS an issue

Honestly for a daily driver you would be fine with 1200rms on an AQ HD3, since money is an issue, the HD3 will handle all of 2.5k of CLEAN NON CLIPPED POWER! The HD3 is a very SOLID SUB and they really cant be beat for the price, durability, and reliability, not to mention DJ is a great guy and the customer service is like no other and he is willing to design boxes and help you out as much as possible with every question you may have. Hope that answers alot of questions VIEWERS of this thread might have had.

What you running your HD3 with? I really want to get a PG x1200.1 to match with my x200.4, but I don't want to deprive it of the power it deserves since I hear they can handle at LEAST 2000wrms. How much are you giving it?

It would probably be a 12" and i'm not looking to compete.

it's being stored away. i had a betteraudio amp on it. about 1500watts or so. it was loud. 2000+ would be awesome. but i've thought about putting 2000 on two sd2.5 12s. that might be more of what im going for this year.

see that's what im worried about this year. not really gonna compete. maybe bassrace but not drag. mainly street beat so maybe a bassrace here and then when comps are around. if i went with 2 hd3s and a nice amp, im dumping $1k+ into street beat. that's a lot, let alone i work minimum wage and low hours.

man...matching amps are really appealing to me. maybe ill end up selling just about everything (x600.1 + SD2.512 + box and the x200.4) and pick up two matching amps.

dunno if its worth it since the x200.4 is such a nice amp, but i'm thinking i don't even really need that much power. my front stage is a/d/s 345cs which is 100 watts rms if i'm correct, and i was planning on getting matching 346cs for the back which is 125 watts.
