i was thinking this too just because the x600.1s are supposed to be very underrated and i would be running ~800wrms to each sub. i don't know if the x1200.1s are also, can anyone clarify this?

right now it's too late/cold/dark to go outside and take measurements, but I am working with the trunk space of a 98 528i if that gives you an idea. not too much, but not too bad.
this is the box right now:
24" w x 16" h x 19" d
Slot Port - 2 1/4" x 13 1/2" x 31" @ 45Hz
Port Vol - .65 cu.ft. ( included Port Wall Vol. )
Carpet Type - Charcoal Grey or Black
Round Terminal Cup w/ Spring Loaded Posts
yea i know its tuned pretty high. got it for $70 shipped from another forum who got it custom made b/c i know that if i tried to make my own it would end up sh1tty as hell.

You could squeeze a hd315. Just its going to cost you 370, new box well anywhere under 100 dollars and a new amp that can go anywhere from 200 to 400 if you play conservatively. Are you ready to pay that much?

good choice of topic. now if i only knew what "bang" to you meant; i kinda had the idea of selling the hd3 for the 2.5s myself.

I would probably just add another sd2.5 12 and double the power.
well an HD3 with a bigger amp, and a bigger box would be louder than your current set-up. adding more power and another HD2.5 (obviously needing a new box) would probably be the loudest. just depends on how much louder you want to get. and how much money you want to spend.

X2 it has crossed my mind,They are great sub for a great price and get loud.
Friends setup= loud! 2 15" sd2.5 on an orion 2500,they take the power well ,they do begin to max out on music around 1200 watts each. I'd personally do another ds2.5.

can anyone vouch that the sd2.5 is like the hd3 but handles less power?
