Two Alpine 15R's or an 18" BTL

you can't really say which would be better without knowing what kind of power you're going to put on it. I mean... you would be better off not putting that much power on the Rs and they will get LOUD. But for the BTLs.... obviously they can handle massive amounts of power so... if you have enough, the btl WILL get louder than the Rs

everyone has the R's man..you have the chance to own 2 things not many have a 18''sub and a fi locally most wont know what it is and think its some off brand you bought from ebay
X2...people used to drool over my 18" BTL....then I sold it and now I miss it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Well seeing as a 10" R has done over 150+ on the mic id say 2 15s will be louder

i think i am going to go R's the idea of two 15"s intices me right now.... given that i have 400$ left over, what amp (ONE AMP) do you guys think would be the best to push these babies?

also lets get some idea's going on a box (directioning, size, ect)

also i think the R's look cool, so is inverted as loud? if its the same i think i might do something cool with that, if it takes away then fck it, let me know

thanks for all the help so far!

if i'm not mistaken... that's mainly based on the build and the power... i could be wrong... i remember that 10 doing the 150+ but I didn't read on it that much. go with the 15s... I got 4 of'em //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

crunch gp3000d pro can be had for 450 i believe. that would push them nicely in 7 cubes

okay so im about 90/10 on the TYPE-R's,

question, does inverting the sub (cone inside the box) make it louder/quiter, because i like the look of the inverted type-r's and the cone isnt the coolest looking thing, but if its quiter then forget it.... anyone got any good examles of 2 15"s in silverado's/ect. cab's? let me know

also what size/tune should the box be(per 15, so x2 total) for some good sq, not all SPL, but stil LOUD (i am assuming two 15's will be loud enough, so i want a bit of quality) or school me on what you think

thanks guys

bump, any insight on box size's/tune and directioning?

best amp for under 500 to push these?

and does anyone know if inverting the sub makes it louder/more quiet because the R's look cool, the cone not so much

let me know thanks!!!
