thinking about buying one! how are they spl wise? I had a 15" mojo on 2krms before so i want something with a little more spl than that! And how big of a box do these like? I have a 5.5cuft after port displacement now tuned to 38hz. im sure the sub takes up about a third of a cube and then internal bracing so id say about 5cuft after its all set and done. how would that be on about 2krms?

they aren't made for SPL so youll be disappointed when you buy one when it doesn't meter like you want it to

I have one, the 05 version. The box is just about 4cu or just a little under and is tuned 32hz

I metered it @ 142db with music and 143 with a test tone. Maybe in the summer and if I use it a bit more it will be about a db higher.

If you want spl go with the MT or SX over the XXX on the older models...MT over the XXX on the newer style

O ok, its just that in my experience my system sounds louder in the summer than in winter.

I also tested it when it was brand new so maybe in a few months the suspension loosens and make it louder?? Anyway i'll check it again in the summer months, see if numbers go lower like what you say.
