Two Alpine 15R's or an 18" BTL

So heres my situation, ive got about 800 (after i do my charging system) so for amp and sub, i can get two 15's type-r's or one 18" BTL for about 420$, should i get 3rd magnet? or cooling? (ive never owned fi)

what do you guys think? and what amp can i get to power (whichever you chose) best for 400$

yea if ur gonna be bumbing the crap of the 18 wich is made to do that then i would get the the 3rd magnet and the the cooling for the 18.

okay sofar 2 for the btl, which will be louder? and let me hear what you guys think about amps....

BTL will be louder but you will probably get better SQ out of 2 type R's. As for amps are you apposed to over powering? The BTL is often paired with a kicker 2500.1 and to run that amp you would need need a d2 coil.

I think there 800 new but Iv seem them in the classafieds for 400 or so, less if you dont mind some scratches.

dont mind scratches, how many cu we looking at for the 18vs the two 15's? and so the 200a will be sufficient?

200a will be fine. an 18" BTL needs 5-10 cuft and 12-16 sq in of port area per 1 cu ft. As for the Type r's im not sure. Im also too lazy to google the T/S perameters for the type R

I gotta argue against this. Given the right power and right box Rs will be louder.

i would do one btl in 6cubes at 38hz.. on a massive p3000.1 or stap mtx 81001s..run at1ohm.. and add a 2nd batt
