Two 4 ohm subs to 2 ohm load

This is probably a stupid question but, I have two 4 ohm subs at 350 rms (1200 watts peak power)

How do I hook up a monoblock amp to my two 4 ohm subs. Also what size amp should I get or should I get a 2 channel instead of a monoblock? And what size wires do I need? I know I probably sound like an idiot but this is my first time ever messing around with subs and amps, so anthying you can tell me to help me out would be great.

amp+ to sub1+ to sub2+

amp- to sub1- to sub2-

That'll give you a 2ohm load and it known as wiring in "parallel." Stick with a mono amp that can do the power you need at 2ohm, which is 600-800 watts.

you didn't say they were dvc before. but no you can't. you can wire them to 1ohm. google and bing search would have gotten you an answer so much faster and easier than this 30min thread.

Yes, you can wire a pair of DVC4ohm subs to either 16ohms, 4ohms, or 1ohm.

I know he didnt ask, but i did, and also, i am quite aware that google could help me with this, thank you, that is how i got them wired in the first place i just wanted to doublecheck 2 months after wiring them because maybe i missed something.. isaw the thread so i figured it couldnt hurt to take a peek since i have 2 4 ohm subs.. plus, im multitasking on my laptop so waiting 5 minutes for a response wasnt really a horrible option for me since i got all these replies before i even came back to this tab.. RAM, thank you for an answer and not scrutinizing my choice of research.

We would need to know the type of amp you have. Its rated power at 4ohm and 1ohm to really tell you what type of wiring setup you want.

How many watts are your subs and wat size is your amp

Get a 1ohm stable amp, the Soundstream DTR900.1 is a good choice if you're on a budget.
