two 12"s or single 15"???????

I have two 12" diamond d3.2 sub woofers which are the new 2008 model subs and they are dual 4ohm subs. im thinking on trading them for a single 15" diamond d3. the 12"s are in a kicker cvr ported box which i know that isnt the right box for the diamonds. but the 15"diamond is in the correct box with a port. the system is in a 1996 olds cutlass would it be a mistake to trade the two 12"s for a single 15"???????????? which would hit harder and play lower??

I would keep the 12's and have a box built for them.

12's would be louder, get a good box, or build one tho.

i have the d9 15"s but cant fit em in the back of my trunk. so now back to my old d3's. thanx for the advice
