Dual voice coils...

Ive never dealt with them before and i have a mono block amp....its 600 rms at 4 ohm and 1000 at 2..

Thing is i have 2 4 ohm V-max's and dont know how id be able to wire them so i could get them to 2 ohm and still be able to keep my amp from going to 1 ohm...

Im not too sure if the amp i have is stable at 1 ohm...

Anyone have any pic or draw-ups of how i should wire them?

Any advice would help ..

But is this amp stable at 1 ohm?

doesn't look like it... according to crutchfield's specs... alpine's specs say the same, if you had the proper electrical it may be possible, but i'd only try it if your ready to buy a new amp... i wouldn't do it.

Ok, so say i run the amp and speaks at 600 rms...they are rated for 600 rms...but would the power be split up to 300 a piece???

I thought it would thats why i was hopeing to get 1000 so i could get 500 a piece...

im pretty sure there is a sundown near me....could i just buy another 1kw rms amp and run the other speaker....or should i just buy a better amp that would be able to handle both?

i have heard bad things about hifonics but i have also heard good things too, alot of people run them, and the price is good... i wouldn't run one myself, i'd save and get the good gear and avoid any potential problems, but that's just my $.02...
