Right, well I can't decide between two 12" Alpine Type R 4 ohm DVC subs in a TCAB box or two 12" 2006 Kicker L7's in a TCAB box.

I am more SPL orientated and ths will be for daily driving.

Either setup would be powered by a Lanzar OPTI-2000D wired to 1 ohm for 1692w RMS (850w per L7 or Typer R).

Which would get louder, hit lower and deeper?

Would I be happier with the Type R's or the 06 Kicker L7's?

save the money ($300) that you will spend on a tcab and put it towards. elec. upgrade, more power, better subs, etc. build your own box and use the money else where.

I'd do the l7's, Do 5 cubes @ 37 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, you'll be happy, and get Dual 2ohm subs, so you can wired them down to .5ohm and get 2000 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I'm just asking because I have heard people say that the Type R's were great and all but after about 2 months they wanted louder and deeper.

im in the same boat. but i'd be running 4 '05 12L7's, or 4 '05 swr-1242's

i cant decide what ill be running. but it will be thrown onto my 2500d. any input to which will be louder.

im also planning on using 4 6" ports, 1 per sub.
