LPG is very reasonably priced aswell. I Wish I had more experience with them.
I have the LPG 25NFA. Excellent sound tweets. Sound Quality is excellent and its super clear. Very reasonably priced at $80 at meniscus.com. BTW, excellent service from them. I ordered them on a thursday got the tweets two days later. Wow quick!

Is that an 8 ohm or a 4 ohm tweet? I'm thinking of replacing my CDT's with these, but the ones I see are 8 ohm. Will this matter if I'm using a passive x-over?

yea these are 8ohms. I dunno but when i talked to the guy at meniscus he said you should set the crossover to 3khz at a 24db/oct. i dunno what the settings of your passive crossover is though.

Which is NOT a good thing.
Moral of the story; Yes, putting an 8ohm tweeter on a passive designed for 4ohm will matter, and in a bad way.
To fix that, we must wire 2 tweeters in parallel then! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

If you really like the sound of the tweeters, but the only restriction is the impedance, I say go fix it by replacing the cap and/or inductor on the passive (may need one or both)

Having a different impedance shouldn't stop you from working around it, instead of looking for a whole new tweeter that might not even be for you. Getting a set of tweeters just for the impedance is satisfying your passive xover. What you need to do is satisfy your ears. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

OK, so how about these ? I know they are 6 ohm, but I'm getting closer. I guess what I should be asking is does anyone think I am going to gain that much SQ to make a difference by switching out the CDT's I am currently using for one of these other brands? And btw, I'm still using the passive x-over that came with my RE comps unless Ican upgrade that to something else.
