If I were to use 2 sets of tweets, one for the pillars and another for kick panels would that sound like *** or would it be somewhat easy to tune and sound good? Both sets being the same tweets.

many people actually do that. actually the tweets in the pillars are actually called "upstage" tweeters as the tweeters are used to raise the sound stage.

my suggestion is to try to use one set of tweeters in both the kicks and the pillars each to see if you are happy with either of them. if not then use both set in the kicks and pillars.
