Tweeters that wont make me go deaf

and second there just really is nowhere I could put them.
Nowhere to put them ?? Mount them coaxially with the mid //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Seriously though...for no longer than it would take you to slap them into the mid real quick...it's seriously worth a shot to see what affect it has on the sound in your system. It really may not drop the stage as much as you think it will.

On boston's website it lists them as 8ohm, but with a multimeter is shows 6ohm. I've heard good things about the LPG silk domes, which is also rated at 8ohm. Is that an option?
As was mentioned....you measured resistance with the DMM, which is different than the nominal impedance. The nominal impedance (the "average" load it will present during normal operation) is probably 8ohms as stated on BA's site.

Personally, I don't think you should spend the $$ on switching them out. Spend a little time with a good EQ (whenever you get one), and work on relocation if possible and I think you will come to like the BA tweeters and not have the problem you presently are.

Also, a little off the subject, but what is the jumper switch in the Pro60 crossovers that is switches between coaxial and component mode do? It doesnt seem to do anything.
Might reverse the phase. Might be further attenuation. I don't know off hand...like I think someone mentioned, call BA or your local dealer and ask.

Also, do give an idea on how loud I am running them speakers, People say the Pro60's need alot of power, I'm using a volume setting that would produce maybe 100w with a 1khz test tone. Apparently people run 300w to these speakers and actually use that 300w...I dont know how that is standable.
LOL....I had a 400w x 2 @ 4ohm amplifier on my old BA Pro6.5's. Next to my horn setup, that was the loudest **** frontstage I'd ever heard. With just the Pro's playing (no subs, no other speakers), it would seriously get loud enough to pop your ears. That painful pop like when rising to a high elevation...yeah, it was nuts. You could seriously hear my highs from further away than you could hear my bass.....and I had four 12's in that setup....LOL. You could hear them clear as day inside houses that were a couple of houses away from my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Like, able to make out the words, identify the song, etc.

Now, I doubt I was actually giving them 400w RMS per side, and chances are those people aren't truly giving them 300w RMS for more than possibly milliseconds. But yeah...with high powered amps, BA speakers can absolutely scream!

How is your hearing?
