new ribbons for AC G2Si

well i got some new ribbon tweeters from jazn and i am not sure what i did but the ribbon is already jacked on one of them.

im going to try to replace it tomorrow but i want to know what caused it.

i have it crossed at 2.5Klz and it should only be getting high 30 to low 40 watts (rms is 30)

they werent turned up alot, the ribbon was moving quite a bit which makes me think it was crossed too low.

does anybody have any experience with them?

i really want to use them but i might just keep with the daytons since they cross lower and handle more power.

Did you hook up the inline caps? Turn on pop could rip em if it's strong enough and you don't have the caps inline.

I had em crossed at 2.5khz @ 24db/oct and they worked fine.

You could also try different tensions in the ribbon elements.
