Tweeter Positioning

When i mount my components my mid will go in the door about 3/4 the way down in its factory location in a 03 F-150. Which of the 3 positions should i mount my tweeter? I think i like the middle one the most but i thought i heard somewhere that it will throw something off and make it sound weird if its not like 4" from the midbass.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Thanks for the help!

Grab some double sided tape or some velcro, hook it up and start moving the tweets around till you find the spot that sounds best to you.

Generally I prefer to keep the mid and tweeter as close together as possible.

Ideally within 1/2 the diameter of the mid's width IIRC. Although plenty of people put it elsewhere and have had success. As everyone says, put some stickytape on the back of ur tweets and test out different locations.

*edit* beat by two people...and not in the good way.

Edit- That middle spot is only about 4" away from the midbass so i think that will be the best. I like when you can see the tweeter plus its a little higher up too.

I put my in the corners of my dash, and the mids in kicks (3 feet apart). The mids are almost totally transparent, so the distance between the mid/tweet is not an iron rule or anything. As we've been stressing, test, test, and test s'more.
