throwin' hunnits, hunnits
Whenever I have music playing, I have a very slight popping noise coming from my tweeters. It's consistant, happens every half-second or so. It's only noticeable in silent parts of a song, but at those parts it is very annoying.
I have tried different RCAs, different amps, different component sets, and different crossovers on my current components. RCA and power is run on opposite sides of the car. All grounds are done to the same location. The amp for my door speakers gets hot but the sub amp stays cool, so I doubt my ground would be the culprit.
I would try to ground my RCAs, but they are not built into the HU. I also have a bit of white noise through the tweeters. My gain on the components shouldn't be too high at all, as the amp does 230x2 and the components are rated at 75 each. I am overpowering them, but I'm certain that if I threw 3x rated power at them, they would blow almost instantly, so my gains must be set somewhat conservatively...
