tweeter placements on my comps.. questions

i have my tweets in my sail pabel (a-pillar). should i move my tweets closer to the mids? will i getbetter sound? what do you guys think from experience. a pillar install, or close to your mids. which do you prefer?

all i can tell ya is the tweets sine wave is small and fast compared to the mid bass or subs sine wave that are larger and slower able to put them anywere pretty much and get the sound, making tweets more of a directional placement. a tweet for best results would be better closer to the ear.
