Tweeter placement help

I'm putting tweeters in and I saw this on diy

This interested me, but I understand you're not suppose to separate them too far from the mid drivers but would this be too far or would it help raise my soundstage up? Or should I just put them in my upper doors.

In my opinion tweets would sound just as good or even better in the pillars.plus it looks like a easy enough project to do.you could always test the pillar location out before you start drilling holes.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I already bought everything so I might as well try it out

If works even better if u have them active and u can set the time alignment on the tweets BC having them up they will sound louder. I had to make them active and tone them down

the biggest challenge is aiming. aiming is crucial. you want to minimize reflections off glass as that will cause phase interference and a harsh sound.

you also want to attenuate the driver's side tweeter by 1.5dB or so to better center your soundstage.
